Additional Information

The New York League for Nursing (NYLN) Annual Conference convenes nursing faculty, administrators, and academic leaders from across New York State to explore innovative, evidence-based strategies to strengthen student success, licensure outcomes, and retention in nursing education. With representation from both two-year and four-year programs, this year’s conference features institutional initiatives from Queensborough Community College (CUNY), Rockland Community College, Pace University, and the College of Staten Island (CUNY), offering diverse perspectives on how to support nursing learners at critical points in their educational journey.

The program opens with a welcome and orientation, followed by a robust session on NCLEX-RN student success strategies, including the formation of academic success teams, structured remediation, and faculty-led NCLEX review courses. A second session focuses on retention and student support services, with presenters sharing approaches such as faculty coaching models, advising interventions, and data-driven curriculum refinement. A third session will spotlight successful mentoring and advising programs that improve student engagement and long-term persistence in nursing programs.

The NYLN Business Meeting offers attendees a forum to receive organizational updates, review board initiatives, and engage in strategic dialogue around statewide priorities and future programming.

This conference offers 2.0 contact hours of continuing nursing education. All content is evidence-based, grounded in professional practice gaps identified through literature review and statewide nursing education trends, and aligned with faculty development needs across institutions. The conference is designed to provide participants with actionable ideas they can implement at their home institutions to strengthen outcomes for nursing students across New York State.

We look forward to your participation.

President, New York League for Nursing
