Target audience

Purpose
The purpose of this presentation is to explore the current standards of healthcare simulation,
including INACSL guidelines, and to highlight evidence-based practices that demonstrate the
effectiveness of simulation in improving student learning outcomes.
Program Objectives
At the completion of this program attendees will be able to:
- Define current healthcare simulation standards (including INACSL) and explore their impact
on student learning outcomes and clinical skill development. - Identify best practices for integrating simulation across the curriculum, fostering
interprofessional collaboration, and preparing students for certification/licensure and real-
world practice. - Emphasize the importance of pre-briefing, debriefing, and troubleshooting in enhancing
student learning and reflective practice. - Explore strategies for integrating simulation as a flipped classroom method and establishing
effective evaluation and grading practices.

- Explore current healthcare simulation standards including INACSL
- Discuss evidence supporting the effectiveness of simulation on student learning outcomes

- Develop basic troubleshooting skills in simulation

NCPD – This workshop/conference has been awarded 5 Nursing Continuing Professional
Development contact hours by NurseTim. NurseTim is accredited as a provider of nursing

Successful completion – Criteria for successful completion of the workshop/conference are
attendance at the entire activity and submission of a completed evaluation within 30 days.

I hope you are doing well. The NYS Council of Associate Degree Nursing (CADN)/New York League for
Nursing (NYLN) conference will be in person on April 11, 2025 at the Crowne Plaza (Desmond) in Albany,
NY. The planning committee is seeking vendors for the event. The sponsorship opportunities are as
follows and are on a first come, first serve basis:
- Evening before presentation and Vendor table: $1,000 (one opportunity) CADN/NYLN will
market your event to the membership who are attending the conference and this will also
include everything under the vendor table sponsorship. (Vendor will organize and pay for the
presentation with the hotel directly to include AV, room, food, etc.). - Tote bag sponsor - $2,000 (one opportunity): provide your company logo tote bag used for main
conference materials; and everything also included under the vendor table sponsorship. - Vendor tables - $500 (20 opportunities): includes one vendor table with two chairs; breakfast,
break, and lunch for two people; and company logo on the sponsor sheet. Maximum of two attendees.
